Movie Mondays Film Club
I am a total movie nerd and could not think of any way to better spend my time than to watch movies! So, I decided to start my own weekly movie club and am dedicted to seeing a new release in the theaters EVERY Monday! Luckily, I have a best friend who is a fellow movie nerd and has committed to keeping the club alive. We've invited all of our friends . . . and I invite you, reader of my blog, to join as well . . . to join and see the same movie that we pick for each Monday wherever they may be. If I had to narrow my favorite genre down to one, it would definitely be independents, however unfortunately, I live in a somewhat rural area and due to my busy schedule, won't be able to make the trek to the arthouses and other theatres showing the more artsy films which is a bummer. So I can bet that most of our Movie Mondays will consist of the more mainstream studio films. It doesn't matter because every movie is an experience!

Ink

Has anyone seen the movie Ink?

If not, you're missing out.

What a great movie! Check out my full review on the movie card page.

I love these kinds of indie movies. Sometimes I think that budget limitations creates inspiration.

The Twilight Trilogy

Okay so we did it - all three movies in one sitting - and we made it out alive.

My friends were at the theater at 4pm waiting in a horrific line - in the Texas heat nonetheless - for the first movie which started at 7:15. They finally made it in to the theater and grabbed some seats.

I showed up at 7 and walked right into the theater and sat with them!

The theater was full - full of Twilight nerds (myself included). There were, get this, TEN other midnight showings of Eclipse in addition to ours. However, we were the only theater showing all three of the movies.

Everyone came dressed in their favorite Twilight shirts...however nobody was dressed in pjs like we were!

It really wasn't bad. The breaks inbetween were only about 15 minutes...

We got to see a crazy fan who had an Edward doll in her purse!

Also we got to see two fans dive onto the floor and fight each other for a free Eclipse shirt (similar to the ones they were already wearing ).

The movie was actually really great! All fans of the series will love it I'm sure.

Those who aren't fans of the series? I don't know. I'm biased so I can't really comment on it.

Personally, Twilight was my favorite and was far above New Moon in my opinion, because it was more artistic and much better cinematography in my opinion.

I haven't decided if Eclipse is now my new favorite or not? It's definitely on the same level as Twilight.

The Twilight Trilogy Midnight Party

Okay, so I will now be revealing my uber nerdiness:

I will be attending the Twilight Trilogy at Cinemark this upcoming Tuesday where we will attend showing of Twilight at 7, The Twilight Saga: New Moon at 9, and then The Twilight Saga: Eclipse at 12:01!

We've actually got a group of about ten people going. Oh and get this: We are matching with pajamas and the same red Twilight shirts. Oh no, now I will have no friends left on here :)

But seriously though, is anyone else out there doing anything crazy like this?

Is anyone even going to this?

Will you guys remain my friends now that you know about this?

Week #19: A Team

Okay guys. . . we had . . .get this....(drumroll). . .FORTY FIVE people come out this week! It was ridonkulous! (spell check?).

This 'little' movie club thing is getting off the hook!

It's getting hard to mingle with everyone after the movie and honeslty, I've given up. I let them come up to me now and just discuss with whoever is standing in my circle.

The movie was entertaining, which is a plus. I would have never guess however that the A Team would be our biggest turnout? weird.

Week #18: Killers

Well we had an awesome turnout!! Our bigges to date (until next week's).

This was also our first movie to see in Cinemark's XD theater! Okay, so we got our movie club discount and only paid $9.00 for these XD tickets. For this price, it was totally worth it. The theater was huge! The seats were leather and oh so comfy! I really couldn't tell a different in the 'digital screen and sound' but it was a nice time...

Now if I had to pay the normal $14.00 or whatever it is....not so sure about that.

In any event, the movie was suuupppppper cute! Ashton and Katherine are such pretty people! I love Katherine Heigl no matter what anyone else says about her! I think she has really great comedic timing plus she's pretty and she can pull off the dramatic roles! She's in a great position in her career!
