Ryan Reynolds has charisma seeping out of his pores, and while he may be a one note actor, he's certainly entertaining to watch on screen.
Reynold's latest attempt at baddass-ery, Green Lantern, hits theaters this weekend and is sure to leave audiences with a bit of disdain for the comedic actor. He's been in three different comic book adaptations in the last decade (Blade Trinity, Wolverine, and Green Lantern) and just can't seem to find the right character to portray.
When he's not out fighting vampires, dueling X-men, or fighting space aliens, Ryan Reynolds unleashes his funny side. Always full of charm and wit, these are our favorite Reynolds moments.
Green Lantern hits theaters Friday, June 17th 2011.
Friday Five | Ryan Reynolds Quotes

Honorable Mention | Van Wilder
"Worrying is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do, but it doesn't get you anywhere."
Van Wilder is a love-it or hate-it kind of movie. It's a gross-out comedy, to be sure, and it doesn't go over so well on some viewers. That being said, the film offers up some classic Reynolds quotes, with this one being bit on the calmer side. Reynolds is constantly offering up words of wisdom to fellow college students, this just happens to be one for the wiser.
#4 | Waiting...
"So far I've made 15% of jack shit."
Arguably, it's hard to find a Ryan Reynold's line from Waiting... that isn't quotable. The entire movie is based on a group of waiters who have far better things to do with their time than to serve customers. It's one of Reynold's best roles, as he's given free reign to be as raunchy as he so chooses.
#3 | Just Friends
"Friends don't ravish each other. Friends watch New Years Rockin' Eve."
Just Friends is one of Reynolds' best movies. In it, Reynolds plays Chris Brander, a music agent who used to be overweight in high school. In shape and dating lots of gorgeous women, Chris heads back to his hometown where his high school love currently still resides. She only wanted to be friends, but he wanted much more. Hilarity ensues. Did we mention flashbacks have Reynolds in a fat suit?
#2 | X-Men Origins: Wolverine
"Great. Stuck in an elevator with five guys on a high-protein diet."
Ryan Reynolds was born to play Deadpool. No other actor can act nearly as smug, nor nearly as annoying as Reynods. His ability to spew dialog is comparable to none other. He makes this role work, which is more than anything else Wolverine had going for it.
#1 | The Proposal
"You can do this, but that would require you to stop snacking on children while they dream."
Forced into a fake engagement so he can keep his job, Ryan Reynolds best comedic role to date might have been in The Proposal. It's a movie that works on nearly every level, thanks mainly to its stars. Forced to be engaged to the boss he hates (Sandra Bullock), Reynolds is allowed to fully unleash his hostility. Beware the wrath of wit.
