Clint Eastwood is going to donate some of the profits from the DVD take of Hereafter to the tsunami relief effort in Japan.
In a statement, Clint said, "The devastation and loss Japan is facing is almost incomprehensible. I’m glad to join Warner Bros. in this effort to help the Japanese people.”
Kevin Tsujihara, president of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group, adds, “Our hearts and prayers go out to the people of Japan. We are committed to supporting relief and rebuilding efforts during this difficult time.”
No word was given on exactly how much of the profits will go towards the Japanese Red Cross Society.
Hereafter was recently pulled from Japanese theaters due to the tsuanmi scene in the movie, which features a character surviving the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.
