Professor Xavier's Possible Return in The Wolverine

Xavier could be the tie between The Wolverine and Days of Future Past
Patrick Stewart as Professor Xavier

Professor Xavier could possibly be seen in the post credits scene of the upcoming film The Wolverine.

For those of you who remember X-Men: The Last Stand, you will recall that Professor Xavier was killed by Phoenix and his mind was transferred into his braindead twin brother at the end of the film. Since we already know that The Wolverine does in fact take place after the events of The Last Stand, it could be very possible that Xavier could return to bridge the gap between The Wolverine and X-Men: Days of Future Past.

According to superherohype.com, one reporter witnessed a scene taking place inside an airport with Logan being approached by none other than Professor Xavier himself. Sources also claim that Xavier was not in a wheelchair for the actual scene taking place.

There is nothing to confirm, however, that this scene will be used in the final rendition of the film, and if it is used, does this mean that the scene will set up the next X-Men film, Days of Future Past? We will have to wait and see when The Wolverine comes out in theaters.

The Wolverine releases on July 26 and stars Hugh Jackman, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima, Will Yun Lee, Brian Tee, Svetlana Khadchenkova, Famke Janssen, and possibly Patrick Stewart.
