News: Ryan Reynolds Takes Oath

As a surprise gesture at this weekend's Comic-Con, Green Lantern star Ryan Reynolds opted to recite the official Green Lantern oath in front of hundreds of movie and comic book fans.
Reynolds, after being asked by a youngster how he felt saying the infamous oath for the first time, opted to instead recite the oath for the crowd. The oath, to loyal comic book fans, is a major part of the Green Lantern character. Reynolds' role as Hal Jordan (the first human to be a part of the Green Lantern Corps) marks the first time that the comic book hero will be featured in film. Reynolds is no newcomer to super-hero and comic book leads, having starred as Deadpool in the latest Wolverine movie, and as Hannibal King in Blade: Trinity.
Just last week Entertainment Weekly gave us our first look at Reynolds in the suit, and thanks to Comic-Con we now have a slight glimpse into just how Reynolds will come off in the iconic part.
