Bruckheimer has produced 3 Disney remakes so far, what's next?

This year, Jerry Bruckheimer is further fueling his attempt to put a little action into Disney stories.

Earlier this year the acclaimed producer of high powered actions films like Pearl Harbor and Armageddon branched out from his Pirates of the Carribean success with Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. It wasn’t a huge hit in the domestic box office, but reined in a good taking overseas. Bruckheimer's latest project to be released, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, is another Disney adaptation revamped as a live-action flick.

The producer’s Disney trend has the Apprentice cast pondering the next chapter of Disney remakes. MTV News caught a few of the cast’s ideas for Bruckheimer's next Disney venture. Teresa Palmer suggested a new spin on The Little Mermaid and even volunteered to play the leading mermaid. Director Jon Turteltaub declared, "I want to do 'Old Yeller' where the dog kills the person…PETA would love that movie!"

Leading man Nicolas Cage and his up and coming co-star Jay Baruchel have their own ideas. Cage claims that a Bambi or Dumbo could make for an interesting watch, while Baruchel suggest a remake of the live action movie The Black Hole.

What movies do you think would make the best live-action remakes? And will another Disney remake ever be able to top Pirates of the Caribbean? I definitely have my doubts, although a live-action Little Mermaid sounds pretty sweet to me.
