#1 Spider-Man: Brand New Day – $39 Million (–45%)

Tom Holland returns as an adult Peter Parker in a world that has completely forgotten he exists following the events of No Way Home. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film pairs spectacular set pieces with a more mature, character-driven story as Spider-Man navigates loneliness, new threats, and the cost of being a full-time hero. Supporting cast includes Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal (Punisher), Florence Pugh, and Mark Ruffalo. #2 Insidious: Out of the Further – $25.1 Million (New)
The sixth entry in the long-running horror franchise, written and directed by Jacob Chase, stars Amelia Eve as Gemma, a young mother who discovers she can not only enter The Further but bring its malevolent entities into the real world. Lin Shaye returns as Elise Rainier. Made for a modest $18 million, the film delivered a solid mid-tier horror opening and continues the series’ reliable theatrical performance even as critical scores sit in the mid-50s.

#3 The Odyssey – $19.7 Million (–17%)
Christopher Nolan’s epic adaptation of Homer continues to show outstanding legs six weeks in. With Matt Damon as Odysseus and a stacked ensemble (Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, and more), the film has now passed $539 million domestic. The tiny 17% drop is remarkable for a film of this scale and further cements it as one of the year’s true theatrical events.

#4 PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie – $9.17 Million (–55%)
Paramount’s family adventure continues to play well with younger audiences in its second weekend, pushing the domestic total past $35 million. Reliable kids’ fare in a summer still dominated by bigger titles.

#5 The End of Oak Street – $8.75 Million (–58%)
Warner Bros.’ mid-budget original thriller holds the fifth spot after a solid opening the prior weekend. It has now earned nearly $38 million and remains a quiet success story of the late summer.
