Denzel Washington’ Robert McCall is brought back into the fray one more time, bringing justice and destruction in the new teaser trailer and red band trailer for The Equalizer 3.
In the 30-second teaser and red band trailer, McCall has started a new beginning in Italy after years of ‘equalizing’ all sorts of threats in the United States of America. His peace gets disrupted, however, by members of the Sicilian mafia who terrorize the small village he has come to love. Showcasing his impressive close-quarters combat skills, McCall has to deliver his brand of justice against the mob to protect the innocent people he cares about.
The Equalizer 3 is the third and final installment of the trilogy that began with 2014’s The Equalizer and 2018’s The Equalizer 2, all directed by Antoine Fuqua.
In the first film McCall only turns towards a life of vigilante justice when a troubled young prostitute (Chloe Grace Moretz) gets attacked by members of the Russian mafia.
In The Equalizer 2, McCall fully embraces his vigilante lifestyle by working as a Lyft driver helping any passengers in trouble. But his past comes back to haunt him when his only government friend (Melissa Leo) gets brutally murdered in Brussels. In tracking down the killer, McCall discovers the culprit to be his former agency friend-turned-rogue (Pedro Pascal).
