New this week, The Monkey (2025) – Horror/Thriller

When twin brothers Hal and Bill discover an old, wind-up cymbal-banging monkey toy in their attic, strange and deadly events begin to unfold. As children, they had locked it away after witnessing its sinister power—every time the monkey claps its cymbals, someone dies.

Now adults, Hal (an artist struggling with past trauma) and Bill (a pragmatic family man) find themselves haunted once again. When the deaths start escalating, Hal becomes obsessed with uncovering the toy’s origins, leading him to a dark history of curses and unspeakable horror. Meanwhile, Bill fights to keep his family safe, even as his skepticism begins to waver.

With time running out and the monkey’s relentless clapping growing louder, the brothers must confront their buried past and find a way to destroy the evil before it claims them next. But some curses don’t die easily… and the monkey is always watching.

Based on the chilling short story by Stephen King, The Monkey is a terrifying journey into childhood nightmares that refuse to stay buried.
