1. Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu (New) – $82M Weekend

A New Theatrical Poster For The Mandalorian And Grogu Arrives From the Outer Rim! – Future of the Force

Directed by Jon Favreau, this big-screen adventure follows Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu as they take on a new mission for the New Republic while facing lingering Imperial forces. Sigourney Weaver and Jeremy Allen White (voicing Rotta the Hutt) join the cast.

The film opened as the lowest Disney-era Star Wars live-action debut but still commanded the weekend with strong family turnout and premium format sales. Audiences gave it an A- CinemaScore and loved the Mando-Grogu dynamic.

2. Obsession (Holdover) – $22.4M Weekend

This psychological horror from director Curry Barker continued its breakout run with a strong +30% hold in weekend two. It’s quickly becoming one of 2026’s biggest surprises thanks to excellent word-of-mouth.

3. Michael (Holdover) – $20M Weekend

The Michael Jackson biopic maintains solid legs in its fifth weekend, crossing the $300M domestic mark.

4. The Devil Wears Prada 2 (Holdover) – $12.6M Weekend

Meryl Streep and the fashion crew keep delivering consistent numbers for comedy fans.

5. Passenger (New) – $8.7M Weekend

Passenger (2026) – Movie Review | Folk Horror on the Road | Heaven of Horror

Directed by André Øvredal, this R-rated supernatural horror follows a couple on a van-life trip who pick up a terrifying demonic stalker after witnessing a gruesome accident. Melissa Leo co-stars.

It performed decently as counter-programming but was overshadowed by the Star Wars giant. Horror fans appreciated the tense road-trip thrills.

6. I Love Boosters (New) – $3.7M Weekend
